Love Happens?

So I came down to SA today to get some stuff done, HUGE loads of laundry, grocery shop, you know...the normal college student stuff. We have a cooking class on Sunday at William Sonoma. Tonight I went to my mom's office for a "Girly" movie night. We watched 'Love Happens' with Jennifer Aniston and the guy that plays Harvey Dent/Two-Face in 'The Dark Knight."
It was ok, there won't be any rushing out to buy it or anything, it was a really slow paced movie. I feel for any guys that were dragged to the movie theater to see it with their girlfriends. Basically it's about this guy, Burke (Two-Face) that's a motivational speaker for people that have suffered the loss of a loved one, he himself lost his wife 3 years ago in a car accident, which he blames himself for. Jennifer Aniston is someone who can't seem to make good man choices, and is the person that magically brings out the side of Burke that nobody gets to see because he's buried it down with his sadness and guilt...you know how the story goes...girl pushes guys buttons about what happened, guy lashes out bc he's protecting himself, girl somehow gets full story and tells guy she understands and that all she wants is for him to be happy, guy realizes he's been a jackass and then goes and gets girl, and the they live happily ever after. Add a cockatoo named Rocky and you have you 'Love Happens.'

Watching speed skating on the olympics and seeing Apollo's dq I think he got cheated. He didn't push the guy, he just had his hand on his him so they wouldn't run into each other, the guy fell on his on. Plus I think the judge who made the dq call was completely bias...he was a Canadian judge, and he was judging wether Apollo pushed a Canadian skater...gee I wonder if the judge is going to want his player to get a metal. I know that the judges are supposed to be fair and not show favoritism, I feel that if your country is participating in the particular event then you shouldn't be able to make such important calls, they should have had a judge form a country that isn't currently participating, it's only fair. I also don't understand why the Canadian women's hockey team could be getting in trouble for celebrating their gold medal...they won, they have the right to celebrate, it wasn't poor sportsmanship, if anyone should be reprimanded for poor sportsmanship it should be the Russian male figure skater, he is acting like such a whiney ass baby...so he didn't win the gold medal, be happy you figgin' placed at all. even the Prime Minister, or whoever, from Russia is being a jackass about the US guy winning gold. I think that if anyone should get in trouble for "unsportsman like conduct" it should be Mr. 'I won the Platinum Medal in this Olympic Games' not the the women's hockey team.

And to end your day with some cuteness

Snow in Austinland!

Today was the most unproductive day I've had in awhile, it snowed so I was out with Harley playing in it. Harley seemed to like it, well she liked it better than rain. She would run around and try and figure out what had just fallen on the ground and then run off and look at the other big flakes falling. When it got really heavy she would shake to get the flakes off her and they just wouldn't move, but she was ok, it was more snow than she had ever seen. I had her last year when we had the snow flurries on the day when it was 80 during the day and then snowed that night, but I don't really count that as her first snow because it didn't stick...and today it stuck 0_o Snow sticking in central Texas, that's some crazy stuff yo! =p

Any who, here are some pics of the funness!

And now a video for your viewing pleasure

A Message about protection

I found this link thanks to perezhilton.com
It's a game that was created to help teens learn about safe sex and safe sex practices. I don't think I would have been mature enough if I were to sit in on this concept meeting, my mental maturity would have had me rolling on the floor laughing almost like I was when I first started playing.
Anyways I'll let you play it and see what you think, make sure you read all the character descriptions and then when you play make sure you get a couple questions wrong, your characters comments are funny ^_^

I'm a bad blogger

WooHoo do I suck at keeping a blog! Not that there is anything super interesting in my life that anybody would want to read about.

I've come to realize that I really suck at doing online classes. When I set my mind to studying I can get it done, but Harley lately has found her puppy energy and has probably become the biggest pain in the ass/adorable distraction you could ask for. I opened the window above my bed to bring some light into my room while I was reading my Texas History and now she is COMPLETELY OBSESSED with looking at it. I get woken up every morning with her trying to move the blinds herself *insert eyeroll* It also doesn't help that she wakes me up every morning at 5:30, yes I know for some that's nothing but for it me it's a big deal, because my stupid neighbor is moving around in his apt. It's not like he's being super loud so I can't turn him in for the noise, but Harley has gotten into this VERY annoying habit of barking at EVERY SOUND that happens around the apartment, sometimes it's nice, like if someone is out front being super noisy, but when it's just a bump or anything else it gets on my nerves! I have no idea where she's picked this habit up either! I know she started the barking at my parents house because the stupid neighborhood kids think it's completely fine to run around and through everyone's yards, but it seems to have gotten worse since I got back up to Austin from Christmas break. I'm thinking I'm going to have to start taking my handy dandy squirt bottle everywhere I go with her, get her back to knowing that it's not ok to bark at everything X(

Other news...=\...this past weekend was fun, Heather came up/down/across (which direction is Houston from Austin?!) and I got to hang out with her, Chris, and Patrick Saturday night. We went out to Plucker(I'd almost forgotten how good their wings can be!) and then hung out at Chris's place and played Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride, there might have been another game in there but those where the main ones =p. Sunday was the Austin Marathon, Mom wasn't allowed to run it per doctors orders so since I didn't have them staying with me I took the time to clean/reorganize my apartment. It was such a pretty day for the most part, I was able to leave my deck get into my storage unit on the porch and put up and rearrange my Christmas decorations and then set up some stuff in my living room. Harley was, as always, the perfect supervisor sitting on the couch and out on the porch, out of my way for once...well that is until the evil cold front came in! And believe me that cold front was felt I came out of my room, wearing shorts and a tank because that's what I'd been cleaning in, and woosh nice burst of cold air right through the open sliding glass door...I'm completely and totally ready for the nice spring weather to be here...and stay! Ugg I just heard on a "news preview" there's another cold front getting ready to come through...WHAT THE FRENCH TOAST!!
Ok, time for more pair skating and reading about Human Sexuality
