Sittin' on some puppies

So this weekend I'm dog/house sitting for my parents. They went and did a 5k run in Brenham, so I came down yesterday with my huge load of laundry and went with one of my best friends to see 'How to Train Your Dragon,' OMG that movie was SOOOOOO cute! The dragons reminded me of puppies! At the end when Toothless woke up Hickup, it reminded me of how I get woken up every morning, Harley's nose in my face with her bad doggie breath and her standing on my stomach/chest/other places that aren't comfortable. =p

I got my hair cut on Thursday. It was a spur of the moment thing. A "bright" idea I had last summer was to grow my hair out, and I had been. It actually has been almost since I got a hair cut. Anyway, my hair was almost to the middle of the back, but lately it had been getting on my nerves, it was getting in the way, getting hot, the usual thing for long hair I guess. I don't know what it was Thursday but it was seriously annoying me, so I thought about getting a hair cut, but figured it wouldn't happen. So I went to run some errands and was over by the triangle and saw that the Great Clips there cut hair for $13, which is awesome, the place I used to go to upped their price and split all their cuts so now a "women's cut" is $15.50, without tip! So I went in and had a couple inches cut off. I forgot how much I like having shorter hair. You use less shampoo and conditioner, it dries faster, and when put up in a ponytail it's up, if I wanted my hair all the way up I'd need to put it in a bun.

I love it! I can't seem to stop playing with it, which is normal for me, after I get haircut I usually play with for the first few days. Thoughts?

HIking is fun

So yesterday Chris, Heather, Patrick, me and Harley went hiking around Bastrop State Park. It was really nice. Not exactly sure how far we went, I should have used my cool iPhone app that tracks your run but I didn't. I tried to take some pictures, but walking and trying to take pictures with a dog that has SOOOO many new smells to check out is rather difficult. Over all it was a good day though. Harley seemed to really enjoy herself, she was pretty good when it came to trying to prove that she's bigger than all the other dogs that are out in the world and once we got on the trail she got better at not cutting people off to smell each side of the path. I'm gonna have to take her on some more hikes like that, it's good to get her out and about. We go for walks around the apartment complex, and when we're at my parents house she can run and chase anything that moves in the backyard to her hearts content, but I think she has fun when it's a new place with new smells and extra stuff for her to prove she is big, mean, ferocious puppy.

Today is the day to clean, do homework and hope that I can start breathing out of my nose. I hate allergies and I woke up this morning and couldn't breathe out of my nose and had a horrible sinus headache, but hey that's what happens in spring right? All the pretty flowers bloom and there's nice breezes and rain, then all the pollen from the pretty flowers and the trees gets in the air and makes it to where your can't breathe out of your nose or your eyes are itchy or your head feels like it's going to explode. Ahh, such a wonderful season spring is ^_^

Anywho, nothing else has really been happening, Wednesday I got to have chips and drinks with the lovely Mrs. Dana which was really fun, hadn't seen her since her wedding so it was REALLY good to catch up. I'm thinking that we are going to have to do it more often! Went and saw Hot tub Time Machine with Chris on Friday, it was funny, not as great as the Hangover and a few other druggy movies that have come out lately, but I would recommend seeing it if you like that kind of movie, after the movie we went and ate at P. Terry's, hadn't been there in awhile and it was SO good!
